What was examined?

A large international developer survey covering AI-tool adoption, attitudes and reported development behaviour.

49,009 retained survey responses from 177 countries overall. Specific AI questions used different response bases.

Key findings

  1. 0184% of respondents to the relevant question said they were using or planning to use AI tools in development.
  2. 0233% trusted AI-output accuracy.
  3. 0346% distrusted AI-output accuracy.
  4. 04Reported adoption can therefore be high at the same time as reported confidence remains cautious.

Why it matters. Lornets interpretation.

High adoption does not imply high confidence in generated output. Verification can remain commercially and technically relevant even when AI-assisted development becomes routine.
